Galvanized expanded metal lath is made to BSEN 10327-DX51D+275. It is a multipurpose mesh primarily used to create a key in rendering or plastering applications. It can also be used for a key on timber floors before tiling. The galvanized mesh creates a coarse surface texture which creates a key for the adhesive or plaster/render to adhere to. It can also be used to wrap around columns or boxing in before plastering/rendering. It should be fixed using large head clout nails or galvanised staples.
